We spent our nights in the jazz joints and just loved Preservation Hall. We walked the streets of the Garden district with its imposing mansions and tree lined streets. We read the headstones and heard the stories in the cemeteries and didn't meet any ghosts. We shopped in the downtown harbour district, explored the Cajun cooking and went dinner-dancing on the Natchez.
We toured the plantations of the magnificent Oak Alley and Deveraux. We saw the devastation of Katrina and how it has affected the city.
New Orleans is a wonderful city. So full of life. Hey, just come and visit it. Bring your horn, if you have one. If you don't, just come and enjoy listening to the music.
